I can see the end. It’s so near, I can taste freedom.
College has been a long, winding road full of success and failures. I’ve struggled through classes, pulIed all night study sessions and stressed over exams. I’ve traveled farther than I could’ve imagined and met so many wonderful people. I’ve dealt with heartbreak and rejoiced in triumphs.
I’ve had several of my friends move, get married and get real adult jobs. I’ve watched family members grow up and others pass on to the afterlife.
I’ve been blessed with opportunity after opportunity and by the grace of God landed a job in my career field. These last four years have been nothing short of a whirlwind.
As I approach the finish line I’m looking at life beyond school and what it might bring. Although I can’t predict the future, I can certainly plan out where I want to be in the next few years and pray that God leads me in the right direction.
As per usual, I wanted a place to document the steps to that goal, positive or negative. As a journalist, I think it’s a great space to practice my writing and express my thoughts too. So this site exists for that purpose. I couldn’t be more excited about where my life is going.
So here it is jkarre.com a place where I can share who I am and what I do. Here’s to the future and the many successes and failures I may endure.
